Black walnut folding mushroom knife with No. 8 brush – Opinel

The Opinel No. 08 folding mushroom knife in black walnut is ideal for picking morels, porcini and chanterelles. Its comfortable handle is made from black walnut from French forests, also known as American walnut. This durable wood has a fine grain and ranges in color from light to dark brown, sometimes with darker streaks. An orange Alcantara cord completes the design.

Its 8 cm curved, folding stainless steel blade makes picking easier, while its scraper back can be used to clean mushrooms. A natural-bristle brush, integrated into the end of the handle, makes them easy to dust off.

The blade is made of martensitic stainless steel with a hardness of 55 to 57 HRC, offering excellent sharpness and high resistance to corrosion and wear. The Virobloc safety ring locks the blade open during use and closed for transport.

Made in France, this pocketknife comes in a wooden presentation box with a Plexiglas window.
