Originally created by 9th generation Claus J. Riedel, this shape was one of the first "wine-friendly" glasses, specifically crafted to enhance the unique characteristics of fine Burgundy wines. The wide tulip shape and slightly flared lip accentuate the wine’s natural sweetness while harmonizing acidity and reducing alcohol intensity, creating a beautifully balanced tasting experience.

Introduced in 2008, the Sommeliers Black Tie collection celebrated the 50th anniversary of RIEDEL’s renowned Sommeliers series. This handcrafted collection seamlessly blends functionality and elegance, with its signature black stem and clear base for red wine glasses, and black base with a clear stem for white wine glasses.
