AROMABAR OF WINE FAULTS SCENTS
Certain aromas are undesired in wines - namely the so-called undesirable aromas, which can develop in the production of wine and are considered wine flaws. In terms of the senses, they are mostly noticeable as distinctive chemical aromas, but frequently also have a strong animal or vegetable character. The ability to recognise undesirable aromas and thus wine flaws rounds off the art of wine tasting. Gain more assurance in wine tasting and never drink flawed wines again. The AROMABAR of Undesirable Aromas makes this possible.

Follow your nose and take a trip to the land of American whiskeys including bourbon, the best-known of them all.
Twelve small bottles encapsulate the main aromatic notes of America's iconic spirit:
1 honey, 2 rose, 3 tobacco leaf, 4 cherry, 5 orange, 6 oak, 7 toasted almond, 8 caramel, 9 vanilla, 10 cinnamon, 11 mint, 12 black pepper.
The aromas are classified in families on the book's companion aroma wheel.
This illustrated and instructive book recounts the story and secrets of making American whiskey, largely unknown beyond the borders of its birthplace. What is a straight American whiskey? Or sour mash? What effect does using barrels made from American oak (Quercus alba) bring?
The foreword is written by Chris Morris, master distiller at Woodford Reserve and a famous name in bourbon circles who created the American whiskey aroma wheel more than 20 years ago.
Renowned journalists and authors Hans and Becky Offringa aka The Whisky Couple tell the fascinating story of American whiskey, from the origins of the distilling process to the current proliferation of craft distillers via the dark days of the Prohibition era.
An impressive map of the United States identifies 122 distilleries whose bourbons and whiskeys are listed by aroma group in the book's last chapter.

It enables you to:
\n-
\n
- Train and enrich your olfactory memory… \n
The sense of smell constitutes the most important sense in the perception of a coffee. But it is often difficult to identify an aroma in your coffee cup. Have you already encountered the feeling that you know a smell without being able to recognize it? Nothing is more normal! In the same way that we learned to read, write, or count, smelling also requires training.
\n\n
-
\n
- …to better analyze the coffee that you taste \n
But “What use is that?” First, recognizing aromas enriches your tasting vocabulary. Being able to attach a word to your impressions increases your tasting pleasure and allows you to share your ideas with others. Then, the aromas of coffee inform us about its varietal and geographic origin and the different steps in its creation, from the methods of cultivation through the roasting of the beans to the techniques of preparation.
\n\n
Le Nez du Café thus permits you not only to perfect your sense of smell but also to understand the process of creating the coffee that produces the aromas.
