The Vacu Vin Vacuum Wine Stoppers (grey), available in a set of 6, are used with the Vacuum Wine Saver pump, sold separately. This vacuum pump extracts air from an opened wine bottle, while the specially designed stopper ensures an airtight seal to maintain the vacuum.
To use them, simply place a reusable stopper into the bottle neck, then use the Vacu Vin pump to extract air until the desired vacuum level is achieved. By reducing the amount of air in the bottle, the system helps to slow down the oxidation process and preserve the wine's quality, aromas, and taste for up to 10 days, according to an independent study conducted by Meron B.V. The bottle should then be stored upright.
Compatible with all Vacu Vin wine pumps, these universal stoppers make it easy to preserve multiple opened bottles. Reusable and dishwasher safe, they are also easy to clean after use.
The Vacuum Wine Saver pump is sold separately. These stoppers are intended for still wines; for sparkling wines, Vacu Vin recommends using an appropriate champagne stopper.
