Wormwood Bitters - Dillon's
The bitterest of the bitters, crafted in the authentic style of real absinthe. Fennel, anise, hyssop, and other herbs temper the strong wormwood, that you can find growing in the garden just outside Dillon's Sipping Room doors. Perfect for the classic Sazerac cocktail.
Dillon's takes pride in handcrafting products using copper pot stills and fresh local ingredients without artificial flavours or colours. Dillon’s strives to make new spirits from old ideas and to do so with unparalleled quality, one small batch at a time.
RECIPES (from Dillon's)
Best Frond Forever
1 1/2 oz Dillon’s Unfiltered Gin 22 (or other gin)
4 sage leaves
Small pinch of coarse salt
1/2 oz Green Chartreuse
4 dashes Dillon’s Wormwood Bitters
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz lemon syrup
1 (2 inch) piece of fennel (stalk only)
Fennel frond or sage leaf for garnish
In a large shaker, muddle fresh fennel, sage leaves and salt until it becomes fragrant and pulpy. Add Dillon’s Unfiltered Gin 22, Chartreuse, lemon juice, bitters and syrup. Stir. Fill shaker with ice & shake until well chilled. Double strain into a vintage coupe glass. Garnish with frond and sage leaf.
